Adventure and Inspiration: The Hunter & Co Londonlicious Experience

Londonlicious has returned for its winter edition, taking place from January 16 to February 8 with over 40 London and area restaurants participating in the nonprofit-run food festival. Frontline workers in London’s supportive services sector are sounding alarms about proposed changes by City Council to the city’s warming centres and funding for outreach services provided by London Cares. “We call it bougie peasant food”: Bicycle Café’s Londonlicious menu

From January 16 to February 8, more than 40 London restaurants are participating in the winter edition of Londonlicious, a food festival inspiring restaurants to come up with new menus that highlight produce from local farms across Southwestern Ontario. One of the participants is Dutch-inspired restaurant, Bicycle Café. The Rise of Anti-Immigrant Racism Led to Violent Attacks and Silence in London Community

On January 18, a group of South Asian youth from the Malayali community were targeted and attacked in Victoria Park. This racist violence seriously injured four of them, including one suffering a critical eye injury. They are workers in the London community, having recently graduated as international students from local post-secondary education.   The London Police didn’t release a media statement for public safety.  Only days after the attacks, upon seeing statements by London Malayali cultural groups raising community safety concerns, did anyone from the wider community respond.  Both the racist attacks and the following silence are symptoms of anti-immigrant racism.  …

[CONTEXT: On Monday, January 26, 2026, the Committee and Protective Services Committee (CPSC) is meeting at City Hall to discuss a proposal that, if passed, would cause serious harm to some of the most oppressed and vulnerable Londoners, as well as those who do what they can to provide care to said Londoners.
